Container Supply Terms — MOQ, FOB/CIF and Lead Times

How a container order is placed with us: minimum quantities, Incoterms we work on, inspection points, and the documents that travel with the shipment.

Minimum order quantity

Containers are built in runs, and a run has an efficient size. That means quantity affects price and schedule more sharply here than on a vehicle order.

We do not put a minimum order quantity on the website. What actually drives it is the number of boxes, whether they share one specification, and where the order falls in the line schedule when you commit. Send us those three and you get a number for your order.

Incoterms we quote on

Which Incoterm suits you depends on who is better placed to handle the freight leg — and for a container that is not always the seller, because a box is a shipping unit as well as a product.

We do not publish a list of Incoterms. Tell us the destination port and how you normally buy, and we will confirm what we can quote against for your route before you build a landed cost.

Inspection and CSC survey

Every box is surveyed and plated to CSC before it leaves the plant. That much is fixed and it is not negotiable — a box without a valid plate cannot move internationally.

Beyond that, third-party inspection at your cost is normal in this trade and we are used to it. If you want an independent surveyor at the plant before shipment, say so when you order — then it goes into the schedule instead of on top of it.

Documents that travel with the box

A container order generates paperwork on two tracks: commercial documents for the transaction, and technical documents for the box itself.

On the technical side the CSC Safety Approval Plate is fixed to the box and its data is recorded. Manufacturing records for the run are held here and can be provided.

Import requirements differ by country and by port. Tell us the destination and we will confirm what documentation we can supply and what you will need to arrange locally — before you order, not after.

What we still need from you

A minimum order quantity, an Incoterm and a lead time are quoted per order, against the run size, the route and the line schedule at the time you commit.

Send us the quantity, the specification, the destination port and how you normally buy. You will get terms for your order, not a template.
